I have the same question A wireless Hosted Network sample that Installing the Microsoft hosted Virtual Adapter Hosted network could not be started on Windows I would suggest you to check the services responsible for wireless connection and see if they are running. Try the steps provided below.

Step 8: This will enable the AdHoc created connection, it should appear in the network connections in Network and Sharing Center , if the AdHoc network connection is not appear then open elevated command prompt and apply this command " netsh wlan stop hostednetwork " without quotations.
